Welcome aboard M/v Sea Spirit
The Sea Spirit is a small and comfortable ship that offers a truly unique polar expedition experience. With a maximum capacity of just 114 passengers, our tiny but mighty expedition ship usually operates with 100 guests off the ship. This maximizes our travelers' time ashore because there is no need for splitting passengers into groups for landing rotations as required on larger ships. This allows for a personalized approach, with individual attention from our staff and the opportunity to explore remote locations without the crowds and noise.

As a member in good standing of both the Association of Arctic Expedition Cruise Operators (AECO) and the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators (IAATO), Poseidon Expeditions pledges its commitment to the further development of Arctic and Antarctic conservation and support of related scientific research.
We strive to leave a smaller footprint when we travel with a variety of smaller- and larger-scale measures: for our ships, passengers, and staff. We actively encourage participation in our expeditions by naturalists and scientists, offering a platform from which they can pursue their important work as well as a forum where they can voice their unique understanding of the most fragile and remote ecosystems. We maintain the required distance to ensure safety for our passengers and the protection of wildlife. Our expedition ship, the Sea Spirit, is equipped with an open deck, from which you will have magnificent opportunities to watch wildlife (and we will get even closer in Zodiac boats). In these small, inflatable boats we are able to cruise up close to wildlife, without disturbing the animals. If you want to explore at your own speed, you can also join our kayaking club.
All meals and accommodation aboard, as well as excursions during the trip are included. The first night in a hotel upon arrival, transfer to port and transfer to the airport in Edinburgh on disembarkation day are also included in the cruise price. Souvenirs, alcoholic beverages aboard, tips, any meals on shore, as well as additional hotel costs in case you plan to stay longer in the departure or arrival port are not included.
In order to make the most of your trip, we recommend a general level of fitness and the ability to walk without assistance. If you require medications, ensure that you bring them along with you and consult your physician if you have a chronic condition. Note that there are always options to choose a slower pace when exploring, as well as a more active approach.
Yes, we offer sea kayaking at an extra charge, but be sure to book in advance. Our kayaking guides will ensure your safety and comfort during this exciting adventure. We offer this activity only to a small group of travelers and spots fill up quickly.
