Weather conditions on our polar cruises are generally mild, with temperatures around 0C. Expect 18-24 hours of daylight. Be prepared for quickly changing weather conditions (from t-shirt weather experiences to whiteouts and fog).
Yes, we plan plenty of time ashore. We offer a small ship concept: the Sea Spirit is highly maneuverable and capable of navigating narrow fjords and entering small bays. With approximately 100 guests onboard, our ship allows for maximum time ashore in the polar regions.
Sea Spirit is equipped with inflatable motor boats (Zodiacs), which are used for small-group cruising and landings. Each landing lasts approximately two hours and we provide shore activities as frequently as possible, depending on weather conditions, safety protocols and the itinerary.

Yes, our Poseidon Sea Kayak Club is very popular among travelers on our Arctic and Antarctic cruises. Spots fill up quickly, so we recommend booking this activity as soon as possible. You don’t have to be a world-class kayaker to join our group, but we do expect basic paddling experience and a good knowledge of English to join this activity.
Our expedition ship, the Sea Spirit, is equipped with Wi-Fi, which is included in the cruise package. However, the internet connection may be unstable at times (depending on weather conditions and our location), as this is an authentic polar expedition and we’ll be travelling in some of the most remote regions on the planet.
